hi all,
A quick question here but want some feedback before i run around in circles...

I need a solid guitar signal switching pedal that can switch from A or B & A+B (one input, two outputs 1/4" mono)with 9V powered LEDs via a Boss type 2.1mm neg tip style power jack. I have tried my old Morley A-B, A+B pedal but it is not buffered/isolated and buzzes/hums extremely loud when it is routed into two different Marshall's with different effects boards in front of them... with the Morley, the whole rig just howls of impedence/hum/hiss...no way on that approach.

The goal is to run my guitar signal (strat)just after the wah into a good quiet splitter and then have the ability to
switch from one amp w/effects to a second amp w/effects or run them both at the same time. The LEDs are a must and it would be optimal to have the ability to run a 9V Voodoo Lab Power Pedal style power lead (2.1mm neg tip) to the splitter.

I know there have got to be at least a couple good quiet splitters out there, a Roger Mayer switcher is the only thing i have heard of so far though.........

any clues from the experts for me here????????

Cheers,

jr

Radial eng. "switchbone"
Framptone amp switcher
Divided by 13 "switchhazel"

Also, Morley does make a newer amp switcher that's buffered and each channel has a trim pot for volume.

All of the above are available here.

Thanks Klasaine!!

After checking these out i noticed some big gaps/differences on the splitters/ABY pedals

* the new less expensive Morley ABY doesn't speak to ground loop hums or polarity issues much, and makes me feel since they are less expensive ($50) or GL Morley Tripler ABY pedal, some of these multiple amp noises will still be there?????????

* The Radial, Keeley & 1/13 pedals all speak to the various noise issues & I know Keely makes good gear but in comparing the Switchbone and Framptone splitters/ABYs, there is a lot of talk about having an amp (class A as opposed to an opamp?) in the splitter/ABY which will re-boost a weakened signal once it hits the splitter/ABY box or gets cut in half when routed to more than one place????????

Obviously you get what you pay for but is the function of the splitter/ABY "boost/amp" a neccesity or merely a cool feature???? ie ..is the splitter/ABY (even the Keely/Framptone model) going to need some boosting or is that better off dealt with on each individual amp as i don't want cheap boosts in my chain of effects that already have very expensive vintage analog & pure ODs, Fuzzes..........

so the question ????? to boost or not to boost in the quality splitter/ABYs?????

Cheers,

jr

I had a question a while back regarding a particular Radial direct box. I e-mailed, got a quick response that addressed all my questions and concerns. Talk to them. They'll be happy to answer any in depth query.

Good luck.

check out http://www.loooper.com with 3 o's they make some great stuff...its all true bypass so not buffered but extremely quiet. They take custom orders so you can get pretty much anything that you want through them.

You need to check out Lehle Switchers. These are expensive compared to some of the stuff out there. But these are by far the best out there. Wheck out http://www.lehle.com they make a few models. Quiet, built like a tank, and very cool looking.
