Is the Line 6 Delay Modeler worth getting if my Boss DD-6 is doing the trick for me?

In a word "Yes".

Having 3 presets available at any time is almost priceless if you play live a lot. The tap tempo is usefull, though I don't use it that much. Plus there are some super-cool delay choices, like dynamic-delay, lo-res, analog w/mod. Get one dude, you won't regret it.

Reece, if you're really into delays like you said in your previous topic, which, by the way, seems to be about the same subject, than you should get one, really!
If you're worried about its reliability, buy a new one instead of eBaying it.
If you're worried about the price tag on it, $249, do the math. That many delays plus a looper? You've gotta be kidding me!
If that's too expensive for your taste, you'll probably find a cheaper one on eBay.

Point is, more bang for your buck and it's a way better than average pedal out there, in my opinion. Plus, if it doesn't fit your style of music, you'll have fun finding the sonic possibilities.

Oh, yeah, the DD-6 is cool, too. Wink

I guess it really depends, are you happy with the sounds of the DD-6? or would you find yourself wanting to use different delays (tape, analog, modulated etc..)?

Also do you have pedal board space for the Line 6?

Buy the DL4 for sure, keep the dd-6 as well(or sell it and get a dd-5 which can get tap tempoSmile. I've used my DL4 mostly for modulated delays for the past three years now and have had no problems. I also run my dd-5 into my Dl4 and do the double delay stuff. For the money, it's good but I'd say if you're looking for the BEST in tone, either get it modded or buy all different individual stompboxes(or rackmounts delays Smile Tone vs. Money= DL4 But the choice is up to you...

I wish I had a Boss DD-6 instead of my Line6 Delay Modeler that died on me the second time. It´s wonderful when it works. I can´t rely on that one and need to get anohter as well. Is that good quality?
