MC/Visa restricts it due to such high level of Fraud..... |

are there any possible workarounds for this? i'm not sure it's mc/visa policy as i've successfully ordered from many online sites before .. not least synths and what not. there are other guitar shops that also receive payments from mc/visa from thailand, but i'm looking specifically for digilog and dr. scientist pedals and you are the one of the only few online distributors for it. i am genuinely interested with cash in my pocket, SO PLEASEEE, let's find a way to work around this.

Just send him a Cashier's Check. Once it has cleared......
Seems like an easy fix. So, the email was answered? I can understand being frustrated. And that it wasn't an answer that you wanted. But, if there was an answer, then you should acknowledge that you did receive one. I mean, you did post the original thread. Anyway, seems like a Cashier's Check would probably fix it all. Of course, I'm not the owner, or even an employee of MusicToyz. So, there could be more to it than this. Seems simple though. |

sorry! i thought the post by Admin was quite evident in itself that i did receive the email.
Anyway, cashier's cheque seems cumbersome. i mean i have a platinum card goddammit, it's just the country i live in sucks. also, i really doubt if thailand really has that high of fraud incidences ... come on most of htem can't even read english |

Sorry if I came off as a jerk. I didn't mean to get into your business. I really just wanted to suggest an alternative purchasing method, to help out.
I hope you can get it all worked out, and get the gear you're after. Rock On, Rock Soldier! |

Otherwise you could get friends in the States to buy something and ship it to Thailand for you..

Yes, there is a tremendous amount of credit card fraud originating in Thailand. This is an indisputable, objective fact. Indonesia, Malaysia, and Sarawak originate much fraud also.
SOLUTION: Employ the services of a reputable agent/shipping broker based in the United States. You pay the broker. Then, they pay MusicToyz in US funds and have it delivered to their United States address. Next, the 3rd party agent/shipping broker (specializing in Thailand) will deliver the goods to you. Finally, you pick up the goods from Thai Customs; where you will pay the government of Thailand any additional Duties, Value Added Taxes, and other fees incurred. The brokerage can usually give you a rough estimate on what the Duties and VAT cost will be. And do NOT ask the brokerage to request a 'dummy invoice' from whomever they purchase from. If they're reputable, they won't do it, as it is highly illegal -- and no self-respecting US retailer would provide such documents. The fines are severe and chances are that customs would raise their eyebrows and confiscate items with an undervalued 'dummy invoice'. Please don't be offended by my post. A shipping agent could work, do you have any american friends?
Possibly contact the builders directly about purchasing from them. Ask Toyz about a wire transfer. |

To the pissed off Thai citizen:
why don't you go to your bank get AMERICAN currency in NEW bills to the total cost --of the pedal and the shipping -- (email them again for shipping qoute usps priority) and send them the money ( concealed cash) I am sure that they will be ok with that. It is shitty that many Indonesian, Thai criminals ruined the trust with merchants ALL around the world. The world does know that one of the COPIED/FAKE products epicenter is Thailand: knock offs, pirated CD's, DVD's, clothes you name it...that is CERTAINLY not helping Thailand gain the world's trust in commerce. Thailand also has the RICHEST monarch in the world, geeeee I wonder why? There are MANY super talented musicians in Thailand who can't get great North American musical products, it is too bad. China in recent years is surpassing Thailand and Indonesia in producing fake/copied products on a grand scale. The US government and other countries have to be aware of it.... but many common citizens don't really have a clue. Still, if you want a fake rolex, Thailand is the land of plenty! |
