Any Voodoo-Vibe owners out there? I just did a cool mod on mine that a friend showed me. The buffer is cool and all i guess if you're into running 30ft. cables. Removing the buffer really warms things up ALOT! I've had mine for over ten years now and i've never wanted to use it as much as i do now after the mod. The buffer really sounds lifeless. It's a fairly easy mod. True bypass must also be done if this is preformed. If you want keep the LED, you must do the millenium bypass. It's all well worth it. Wink

Interesting. Have owned this pedal with few years and never really felt the love until recently in a recording situation I put it in the effects loop of a not so great amp (not my own)and got some stellar results. As it us using it directly into the amp just doesn't do it for me. Quite hi-fi but just a tad sterile. Any further info you could share on this one would be appreciated.

It's quite simple really. It's a matter of the input and output wire coming off the switch onto the board. The buffer section is located right next to the switch. Schematics are helpful.

You wouldn't happen to have a schematic for it lying around somewhere. I think I follow what you're saying more or less. In mine, a blue wire goes from the input to the switch and then onto the board, and a green wire comes from the board (from directly beside where the blue wire is connected)and goes to the output. So it's simply a matter of having these go directly from the switch? If you don't have a schematic, even a picture of the insides of yours would be really helpful. Thanks.

I just did this mod. It's really simple. It took me a while to figure but I eventually tracked down a schematic. Just unsolder the short wire going from the centre left lug on the switch (as you look at the open pedal with the jacks along the top)This is the wire which takes the signal to the output buffer. Then unsolder the wire going to the output from the board and take it to the centre left lug. Removes the output buffer from the signal path. By doing it this way and not changing the rest of the wiring you can still keep the LED.

And as is stated in the first post above this really warms things up. I have owned this effect with a couple of years but never really got into it. That is all about to change.

The mod is really simple as well. Highly recommended.
