Piggybacked its opamp chip with a JRC opamp chip..

what capacitors and resistors can I change to get more treble out of it? or at least which components can I change to shape the eqing of the pedal ? I wouldnt mind making this thing into a dirty boost that helps cut with a smaller frequency range

You're in luck, I posed the same question about an MXR Distortion or a Dyna Comp. This should work for the Microamp as well. I got the following email:

"....put .01 uf capacitor across two of the volume pot connections to roll off the highs{if you touch it to the connections before soldering you'll find that two of them boost the highs and the other two cut them. For even less of a roll off try a .0047 and for more of a roll off try a .022 I got all these at Radio Shack. The mid boost I did the same across the distortion pot with a .01 and it boosts the upper mids up and keeps it from sounding dull when the gain is low. Also it's a small sacrifice 'cause the gain doesn't roll off as low as it did without the capacitor- but backing off on the guitar's volume will give you less overdrive. Good luck and have fun trying it."

This is the second email that I got:
"Oh Yeah- The Dynacomp...........I put a .1 uf capacitor across the lower two leads of the volume pot {when you look at the circuit board after taking off the metal backplate you can see them all the way to the right}..... This boosts the mids a bit and the overall volume can now be rolled back a bit. For a treble boost try a .022 instead. If you're daring you can drill a small hole above the LED and install a mini toggle in series with the capacitor to turn it on and off {single coil pickups can sound better when it's off} You can also toggle the Distortion + caps too."

Good luck!
