any thoughts? I'm running 6l6 have had 5881's liked the 6l6's a little better (Rubys)...but 5881 were mesa tubes that came in it when I bought the amp used...it's a MarkIV A if that influences anyones advice...

Howdy, a friend of mine just purchased a Boogie Mark IV and to be honest, I think is sounds awesome as is.....It does have a Fendery voicing (if I remember correctly the owner of Mesa came from Fender) and I am sure the 6l6's contribute to the Fendery voicing. Some guys run 2 EL34's for the Marshally voicing in the lead channels. I don't think the 6V6's will voice the amp any different....
