Hey,

I have a 1999 American Telecaster. I am about to set the relief to around .003" if I can get it that low.

I am going to use my low E or A string as a straightedge.

Do I hold down at the last fret or the 17th? I have heard conflicting things.

Thanks

I always capo the first fret and hold at the 20th. It seems to work for me.

I've always fretted the first fret and the last fret and measured for daylight at the 7th fret.
