Howdy, Just bought a Schecter TSH-12 which is a great 12 string electric for the price... except for the fact that it's so top heavy that it's almost impossible to play standing up!!! Any suggestions for how to even out the weight - I've been hanging a crybaby on a patch lead from the strap lock to counter-balance the weight!!! Anyone had to deal with anything like this before? Thanks.
I have a top heavy guitar that was helped by using one of those acoustic guitar headstock strap/button devices. It snaps around the headstock and has a strap button on it...Martin makes them. They work well and you do not have to modify anything.

I've fixed this problem on some guitars by placing the strap button on the curved heel part of the neck. right now I have a guitar that is top heavy and even this didn't completely fix the problem.
