Tuned into this album in 1966. It set the basis for my style of playing. I still play some of the tunes from this album today. Eric Clapton had such a great tone and style back then, which was captured (luckily) on this album. I don't think he's matched it since (other than with his next band Cream).

I never heard this one.
I get stuck on certain albums and never move on, unless suggested by a true fan. I will check it out. |

The "Beano Comic Book Record", as this one is often referred to, is Clapton's finest hour, IMO. I love it. Ken, you should get this record.

It's a must-get then for sure.
My next purchase. Yesterday we bought Echoes - Pink Floyd and Ozzy Osbourne Randy Rhoads Tribute live. My wife is corrupting me. Right now Pulse - Pink Floyd live video is on for like the 5th time this weekend. My wife keeps making me show her David leads. She's is getting her lead boxes down, and she's making up excersises on her own to get her speed up. Plus she loves Ozzy and Randy and of course ZAK WILDE! I did think about buying Beano, so next time instead of thinking about it, I will just do it. I'll just tell her it's my turn to buy lol. |

Great album! Last year "Beano" was remastered with two extra tracks. The new material isn't all that, but the sound quality is far beyond the previous CD releases.
