Todd is great. I love the Utopia stuff. Swing To The Right, Lysistrata, and their cover of For The Love Of Money were some of my favs.
"now i dream about tone, day dream about tone, think about tone at work, think about tone when im taking a dump, musiciansfriend and vintage guitar mag right next to the toilet....its getting weird"
Todd is God. Amazing writer, always innovative, great live gigs, burnin' players always. And yes, totally underrated as a guitarist. I love his "With a Twist" album. He covers his own tunes as loungy bossa novas. "Something, Anything", "Tortured Artist", and "Road to Utopia" may be my 'off the top of my head' favorites.
Road to Utopia is cool. Mated rates high on my list.. Great gtr work on The Individualist also. I've stolen many a good riff from this guy.. Saw him at the Fox in Atl., when he recorded the 1st Utopia album ( The tune anyway). Frt row center..
Agreed, Todd is a Deity. The entire body of work is impressive, but "Can We Still Be Friends" just rips my heart out. That vocal arrangement is pure genius.
