Numerous I know, but what if you had to pick one? I think my favorite would be Fool in the Rain. It's beautifully sloppy, melodic, and flashy all at once.

chords are everything

"Since I've Been Loving You"

Followed by "Celebration Day" & "Tangerine". III is obviously my fave Zep record, can't say I've ever met anyone that agrees...

Most Zep fans hate this tune, but I really like the slopabilly gitar ride on "Hot Dog" (In Through The Out Door), just for grins...

Hey, somebody remind Laroo NOT TO DRINK AND TYPE--he's talking about Blackmore on a Page thread Big Grin. I don't know if I have a favorite page solo, but I have listened to Zep's version of "Travelling Riverside Blues" more times than I can count--still get a kick out of playing/listening to that one--always will.

Laroo--you should check out Purple's California Jam video--Blackmore is on fire--I didn't know you were such a fan!
Wanna borrow it...?

Corleone, I often find myself alone when taling about III as well. I love That's the Way. Some people barely consider it Zep. I think it speaks volumes of their versatility.

chords are everything

Those acoustic-based tracks are a large part of why III is my fave.

Yeah twang, I've heard that one, as well as a couple of live bootleg versions. That tune must be near & dear to Jimmy's heart - he's always played it consistently well, even during some of the "sloppier" periods.

Too many great leads to have a favorite.

-Stairway

-Since I've been loving you

-No Quarter

-Ten years Gone

-Custard Pie

-The Rover

Presence is probably my favorite album for Page leads. Maybe plunging deeper into his addiction lends itself. Very expressive and bluesy stuff.

-Nobody's Fault but Mine

-Achille's Last Stand

-Tea for Two

There's more, just can't list them all at the moment.

I think I enjoyed Page on acoustic even more

than electric. "Hey Hey What Can I Do?",

"Ramble On" probably my fave Zep tunes. I enjoy

their music very much.

The "No Quarter" live solo from "The Song Remains the Same". That's what I love about that era. The bands were totally unpredictable. There wasn't even a guitar solo on the studio version. Page was sloppy at times and I believe that it was deliberate. He's often been quoted as saying "playing live and the studio were two different approaches". But when he was on there were none better.
