Now that we are through the 10 top and bottom players!
Probably did not come as a surprice that many of us listen to the same player. What I have noticed myself is that although I love most of the players people mentioned in their top 10, I dont think many of them would figure in my top 10 album list. Good players does not necessarily mean good music (feel free to disagree with me on this one). Many a time have I listened to players for their fretboard ability without being to big a fan of their music.
So lets discuss the other part, the music:
Top 10 albums: - Smaching Pumpkins: Siamese Dream - Temple of the dog - Motorpsycho: Timoty's monster - Steve Lukather: Candyman - Jan Garbarek: I took up the runes - Pink Floyd: Wich U were here - Neil Young: Weld - Seigmenn: Total - Metallica: Master of Puppets - U2: Achtung baby
Some of these wont leave my CD player and others just changed my life. Only Candyman have flash guitar solos, the others just have tasty playing.

Nice to see you like Pink Floyd. Dave Gilmour has the best note selection for his solos, IMHO. However, I think that Master of Puppets, to me anyway, has some pretty flashy shred solos. Like on the title track for instance. Not that they are bad but they are definitely a bit flashy.
