Country-rock-blues that smokes. The band Shaver is fronted by Billy Joe,Eddies father. This is real country music, raw and to the bone.Too bad country radio formats don't wake up and start playing the real s#!t. Also Joe Ely's Live At Liberty Lunch with David Grissom is one of the best live albums recorded.Grissom is a monster!

You got that right about Grissom. I saw him recently with Ely on Austin City Limits - absolutely "DEADLY". Do you know if he uses Allesandro amps ?

Grissom has been on Austin City Limits countless times with Joe Ely,Storyville and James McMurtry. For his most recent appearance with Ely he used a Dr.Z Route 66.Check out Joe Ely's Live At Liberty Lunch C.D. to here Grissom at his most unbelievable.

Yea!!
Both those guys rock! Hey Tone, if you like somewhat "bent" country style, check out Jim Campilongo. I think you'll love him.
Hey, Klasaine at one time I think Grissom uses a 50 watt Plexi sometimes and, as Tone said, a Dr. Z lately.

Thanks guy's . I've been getting into Bob Wills and his Texas Playboys again especially the cuts with Junior Barnard on electric guitar . Speaking of " Juniors " are you hip to Junior Watson ?

Yeah Player, I have one of Campilongo's albums and it's very tastefull playing but he doesn't really tear it up on this particular one.I just saw a review of an album he did with Danny Gatton. That's the kind of shit I dig.Danny Gatton and Joey Defrancesco's album Relentless is just that relentlessly country-jazz-organ trio madness.Check it out. Did you guys see Eric Johnson on Austin City Limits this month?Holy F#$@%$# SH$T!!!! He was on fire.

Bad news.Just found out Eddy Shaver died of a herion overdose on New Year's Eve.Another senseless rock and roll tragedy. All the more reason to check his playing out.Died way too young but he lived and played to the bone.
