I'm not a Megadeth fan, but I'm sorry to hear that. I can relate. Around ten years ago, I had an accident which caused severe nerve damage in my right arm and hand. It was several months before I could play at all, and about three years before I had built up the facility and confidence to start gigging again. The first outing was a nightmare, and I almost quit for good. The good news is that with physical therapy, a little common sense, and a lot of patience, the human body is capable of compensating and adjusting in miraculous ways. I have no sensation below my right elbow, and have definitely had to re-think my approach to the instrument. But there's something about going that long without being able to play at all that really lights a fire in you when you can play again. To Dave Mustaine, I would say to hang in there. Time is the great healer.
