We have lost a lot of close family to Cancer over the last ten years including my Mom-in-Law. Pretty much the bulk of our yearly charity giving goes to cancer research.

She was 60 when she was first diagnosed with serious cancer and with treatment she lived a pretty full life for a long time. She never went into full remission, but the medical advances have been pretty incredible. They told her 6 months and she kicked it ass for over 18 years. She lived with us for the last 7, so that my wife could help her out. She got to see a bunch of grandchidren born and she was well enough to hit Disney with us when my first two boys were 5 and 3.

I am hoping that Bob can give cancer the serious beating it deserves.
