Cubba and I have known Bob's news for awhile and had held off to let Bob get some space etc. We all have known Bob for a long time he has always been the first to help others the 9/11 fund, Katrina auctions, on and on. Bob even helped some soldier I remember who lost everything for Xmas or something. Anyway he is a very giving person a wonderful guy and legend in this business for 10 yrs.

Cubba approached Bob about auctions etc, and Bob's first reaction was to just break down. He could NOT believe that strangers would want to help him. Well Bob we are not strangers we are your wierd ass family in this wierd ass world we have all created for ourselves.

It's time to help one of our own. I have started a seperate forum on this "The Bob Sweet Charity". Music Toyz.com will start today to pull some ideas toghther for rock star auctions etc, if anyone has some ideas etc, post them on the forum in Bob Sweet Section.

http://forums.musictoyz.com/eve/forums/a/frm/f/8211023064

Let's raise a ton of dough for Bob. As you know he has no insurance and has the nasty ass cancer.

Let's get Bob some positive vibes, some love, and some good old green. It's one thing to be in this battle and onto of this having to battle bills also...

b0bsweet@bellsouth.net is Bob's paypal for those wanting to just make a straight contribution !

Dear Bob.

I hope that you get well soon. I enjoy your
Mojo Vibe every day I use it. It´s a wonderful piece. A friend visited me yesterday and tried it and went - wow, finally it´s sounds right playing Pink Floyd songs..

I first talked to Bob about one week ago. I called looking for a vibe. When I first called I got no answer but I guess he saw my # in his caller ID and rang me back on his dime(long distance, I'm in Houston). We talked for a while and it was as if I had known him since we were kids. Like we had wrestled in the grass and ate peanut butter jelly sanwiches together you know. He was just incredibly cool to me. Keep in mind I'm nobody, just another mark. I did not feel like a mark at all talking to him. He didn't have to say a word to me but he took time out his day and I appreciate it. You are in my prayers Bob. Best regards, Max

Folks....

Some AMAZING stuff is going on behind closed doors
(OK maybe not that slick, but at least via emails!).

I can't say much yet, but look out for some of your favorite pedals and guitars, autographed by some of the most serious and best known players in the music biz, to be put up for the
Bob Sweet Charity Auction.
Rare one-off items in some cases.

Really exciting stuff, can't wait 'til it comes out here for real.

It's amazing how fast and how passionately musicians will run to the aid of one of their own.
I'm speechless, other than...

You guys ROCK!

I've never met Bob in my life, and I'm going to contribute and feel very pleased to help a brother in need. This is what "community spirit" is all about, and I'm proud of everyone on this forum, because I know we'll come through big-time for a friend!!

A lot of folks have been asking me about putting up their stuff for auction for Bob.
That's certainly a good idea and in a sense, an easy way for folks who don't have cash available to donate without having to dip directly into their pockets (tho' I should say sending Bob the funds direct at this Paypal or home addy would be best).
I only ask that all auctions be registered with me/Toyz, so we can keep track of the auctions (we'll provide a link to all auctions here on this or other appropriate thread) and so as to keep the scammers away from cashing in on our charitable efforts.

Instead of us having to run eBay auctions, I think folks would do best to host their eBay auction under the bobsweetauctions account name.

All you have to do is email tr@musictoyz.com and Musictoyz will email you the password to login and do your auction under the "bobsweetauctions" acc't. name. It's actually very simple.

This keeps all the auctions in one spot, easier to search for, Musictoyz pays the eBay fees as courtesy to us and Bob, and we (all of us) can better stay on top of the funds getting to Bob directly.

You can PM/email me directly with any questions:

Even better than Paypal (and their 3.9%) would be to send Bob support directly.

I have Bob's address and in the interest of being discreet, I will send you his address if you'd like to contribute in that way.

PM or email me:

cubba65 AT verizon DOT net

There may be a PO Box set-up sometime soon, but for now, please contact me.

Yes, please post your auctions here if that's cool. Just a direct link to them Cubba?
Or possibly just put it here at set price ya think?
Feel free to delete this post once it is figured out. Just trying to think out loud.
