I play a Fernandes Vertigo Elite and the now discontinued Decade model. I'm very pleased with them both.

On a sidenote: I'm looking to trade them both in for a new or VERY lightly used Fernandes Revolver Deluxe. Email me at goldfingrancid73@aol.com if interested.

A late-eighties LE-2 Strat. Well, mostly just a Fernandes body these days (alder). It has a Warmoth neck, Fat 50s in the neck and middle positions and a Custom 5 in the bridge. I also had a Japanese Revolver Standard that was a really nice player.

I have a Decade J-1. In My opinion these are typical Japanese guitars. Great craftsmanship but lousy parts. The tuners have no issues but the pickups are the usual garbage and so are the pots and switches. I replaced the 5 way w/ the Fender open type (had to) and of course the pickups comeout to make room for the Fralin vintage hot set.Cool I replaced the plastic nut w/ a bone nut and replaced the tiny frets w/ Jumbos. Now it's a real guitar! I like the Jag style body. I don't see any reason to get a fender except for the fact that it tends to ring after a note is played. Some say because of the "bathtub" p.u. route. I understand that some fenders have the same setup. I can deal with the ringing for now though. Maybe some day an American Strat! Smile

I currently own:

3 Fernandes "The Revival" Strat copies. One is a 50s and the others are 60s copies. They´re all perfect, certainly a lot better than the Made in Mexico Fender gear.

2 Fernandes "The Revival" lefties. Both 60s copies. Also perfect.

Fernandes "Limited Edition". Late 80s pointy headstock superstrat. Excellent guitar with just the sound you´d expect from a superstrat that must have cost around 1000-1200 $ back in the day. The licenced FR trem isn´t a double locking one, that´s the only drawback.

2 Fernandes Retrorocket pro models, one with maple neck, one with rosewood neck. Both great guitars with smoothly working vintage trems. Only drawback is the humbucker in the bridge position. Sounds rather thin and too bright.

3 Fernandes "The Function" Superstrats. One has the same licenced FR trem as the one mentioned above. Is an otherwise great guitar. The other two have origional FR trems on them. They´re my main guitars on stage nowadays. Absolutely great!

1 Fernandes early 90s "no name" Superstrat. Comes with sparkling purple finish (even the neck & headstock), DiMarzio super distortion bridge humbucker and Seymore Duncan Hotrails SC sized humbucker in neck position. Original FR trem as well. One gorgeous looking, sounding and perfect playing guitar.

They all have bolt on necks BTW.

Needless to say Fernandes is my favorite moderately priced guitar company!
